"Critically acclaimed Hollywood director Martin Scorsese has put his full support behind the widescreen television format in a bid to have his classic movies viewed in best possible format. Teaming up with Philips, who have an industry leading widescreen range in Australia, he has launched a global education campaign designed to educate consumers about the benefits of widescreen-formatted televisions (16:9), as opposed to the 4:3 format that leads to 'cropping' of films to fit the format....."
