This was posted at the toon zone forum and I haven't seen it confirmed yet:
I don't know about official confirmation I haven't seen it anywhere myself, but rumours of his death are circulating my workplace.
http://www.kpho.com/Global/story.asp...3&nav=23KtOOSA That's the link to the original story, although the Drudge Report is indicating that it might be a hoax...
I hope it's a hoax. I haven't heard any of the major news outlets reporting on it yet.
Interesting, it is kind of strange that a news station in AZ would break a story about someone dying in CA.
Not only that, but the timing of it is also very strange considering the fact that excerpts from that supposedly revealing British book about him is starting to leak out into the press. However, it looks like the Drudge Report has now shifted back to reporting that he has indeed died, although I still haven't' seen the news on any major news outlet yet.
I've heard the rumors as well. It wouldn't be exactly surprising.
Wasn't he supposed to start shooting some kind of Biopic soon too, about himself starring himself? I remember reading something about that, called Brando on Brando or something like that.
There were several stories over the last few days detailing his $20 Million debt and lonely life. Very sad news. (Edited when confirmed)
CNN just confirmed it.
According to Drudge report "FAMILY MEMBERS SAY BRANDO DIED IN HOSPITAL... " they don't list a source though.
New York Daily news is now reporting it. http://www.nydailynews.com/front/bre...p-179750c.html
Damn I was hoping it was just a hoax. RIP to one of the finest actors to grace the silver screen.
MSNBC has just reported it too: "American acting legen Marlon Brando dead at 80, his attorney says" Edit: Fox News and the NY Times have joined them too.
Thread title has been edited to reflect the veracity of this event.
Ug, that's depressing. RIP Marlon Brando.
It's sad that he's gone, but it's also sad that his last years were so depressing. May he rest in peace.
I was hoping this was a hoax, sad news indeed.
Rest in Peace, Marlon. I think I'll watch The Godfather tonight.
Another major star from gone, and one of the very best at that. I'll definitely be watching Streetcar this weekend. R.I.P.
