This question may sound kind of simple but it is something I've been wondering about. I'm currently using a Sony reciever (can't remember the model #) but the reciever is wated at 100wpc and does 5.1. Can this reciever exceed 100wpc? for example my sub is a 50 watt which is fine for now but eventually I'm going to move into a bigger house and I'm going to want to upgrade to 100 watts for my sub. Would I be able to do this with my current reciever? thanks.

Keith,
If you're talking about powered subwoofers, the kind that have their own built-in amps and plug into the wall, they don't draw any power at all from the reciever so you can go as high as you like.

I prefer not to push the subwoofers until they're properly run in.
