After using the Sony S-Video Switch module on the side of the T.V., I've decided to use my HK AVR 500 for S-video switching. Two things to hook up,
1. Satellite receiver thru the S-VHS JVC 7600 using Optical connection for sound and of course analog connection for VHS tapes
2. DVD player S-Video with Coax connection for sound.
Is this the correct connection:
Step 1. S-video from VCR into Video 1 input on the HK
Step 2. S-video from DVD into DVD input on the HK
Step 3. S-video out from HK Receiver Monitor out.
Sorry for this novist question but when it comes to using the receiver for video switching, I'm a little lost. I know I can assign the what ever sound connection (optical, coax and analog) to each video selection so you don't have to address that. Thanks in advance.
