Problem with Yamaha Rx-V800 (1 Viewer)

I've noticed recently that my receiver like shutting off during loud moments on the DTS tracks? Does anybody know what's going on?

It sounds like current limiting protection is cutting in. Are you running your speakers as 'Large'?

no they are set to small. My speakers are 8 Ohms and the switch is selected to 8 ohm.

Have you checked your digital link? Maybe it's shaking loose? (clutching @ straws here)

i'm pretty sure the cable in firmly in place....I could check it though.
