Can I use the DV-S747A without any problems here in America on the NTSC system? Would it be functionally identical, progressive scan and all, to the DV-47A?

Thanks!

That's hard to say without seeing the manual for the 747A. Many people assumed that the 747A and 47A were identical. I have the 47A and the manual lists the Japanese 733A and the Elite 47A on the cover and covers both units inside. There is no mention of the 747A at all. My guess is that if the 747A was identical to the 47A, it would also be listed and covered in the same manual. Since it seems the 747A has a seperate manual, I'd have to believe there must be some distinct differences between them.
