I want to thank everyone in advance. I have never posted before but have learned alot from this site. I have a Cable box that uses s-video out and 2 DVD players that use component out. I am going to run these to my receiver. If I want to use the 53tx to manage my video, do I need to have 2 component cables going from the receiver to my TV. I know I have to have the S-Video because the 53tx does not convert the s-video into component. Once again thanks in advance

Just one component out to the TV from the AVR.
That Pioneer has component video switching.

Of course you will have to switch AV inputs on the TV, Component -vs- Svideo as it seems you already know.
