I would like to hook my laptop to my Toshiba 46h84 to watch movies, using the S-Video Out. Does anyone know of any problems with this? I want to make sure this is okay because it says several times in the manual not to hook a pc up to the tv.

Greetings

They mean sending a pc signal via component ... not s-video.

Now if you want to go that route ... why not just get a $70 player and you will get better performance than your laptop ...

Thanks for the answer. We have a DVD Player, X-Box, and PS2 that we use for DVD's, I want to hook up my laptop so I can play movies I've downloaded; RvB, other Machinema, etc; so I don't have to put them on DVD every week.

Also so I can see what other Videos I've made look like as a presentation.

Thanks again
