So I use a sound meter to calibrate all the speakers together, but when I shut it off the settings return to a factory default (which are all over the place, like +3 for the left surround, +10 for the right, etc.) Isn't there a way to save the settings? The manual sure doesn't say anything about it. Or do I have to re-enter the numbers each time I watch a DVD???

To save the settings you must first hit the "test" button on the remote. Then set each speaker with "ch sel" button and the up and down arrows ("under level"). After your finished with your settings hit the "test" button again. Your settings will now be saved.

Great! I knew I'd find the answer here. I sure don't remember seeing that in the manual, which seems sort of incomplete.
