Coming Soon on DVD and 3-D Blu-ray!
Brand New HD and 3-D Masters!
3-D Restoration by
3-D Film Archive, LLC!

Those Redheads From Seattle (1953)
Starring Rhonda Fleming, Gene Barry, Agnes Moorehead, Teresa Brewer, Guy Mitchell and The Bell Sisters - Co-written and Directed by Lewis R. Foster

3-D Film Archive's Bob Furmanek says, Those Redheads From Seattle, one of the rarest and most requested Golden Age 3-D features and is coming soon to 3-D Blu-ray from Kino Lorber Studio Classics.

This Technicolor Pine-Thomas production from 1953 features excellent stereoscopic photography by Oscar-winning cinematographer Lionel Lindon (Around the World in Eighty Days). Directed by Lewis R. Foster and featuring a stellar cast which includes Rhonda Fleming, Gene Barry and Agnes Moorehead, "the first 3-D musical" also contains five terrific tunes by popular recording artists Teresa Brewer, Guy Mitchell and the Bell Sisters.

Historically significant as the first widescreen production from Paramount Studios, Redheads has not been seen in 1.66:1 for more than sixty years. Meticulously restored from 35mm elements by Greg Kintz and the 3-D Film Archive, "3-D's big musical gal-stacked frolic" will be an outstanding addition to your classic 3-D Blu-ray collection!

I assume that Redheads will also contain the 2D version. More Rhonda Fleming is a good thing. Now bring on Jivaro!

Haha, I was going to say the same thing!

I wholeheartedly concur! I hope Jivaro in 3D is also eventually in the offing, as well as Fleming's non-3D films from Paramount, particularly the excellent Glenn Ford western, The Redhead and the Cowboy (1951), and the Pine-Thomas productions of Crosswinds (1951), Tropic Zone (1953), The Last Outpost (1951), Hong Kong (1952) and Adventure Island (1947).

A nice Blu release of MGM's excellent noir thriller, The Killer Is Loose (1956 United Artists, directed by Budd Boetticher), starring Fleming, Joseph Cotten and Wendell Corey, would also be extremely welcome.

Hello MisterLime,
Will this be a region free release or will it be "A" locked.
I'm from Australia and would love to pick it up but would need a region free disc to play it in Australia.
Thanks

Bob F. mentioned elsewhere that the only rights available to Kino from Paramount were for region A.

We've acquired the north American rights for this film, which means we only can sell the title in USA and Canada. We're contractually obligated to region lock the BD as region A and the DVD as region 1.

Wow, thank you very much MisterLime.
I assume it will be the same transfer with the European disc.

Any chance for other Biblical-Roman-Egyptian epics?
This is one of my favourite genres and it looks great on Bluray.

eg.
The Sign of the Cross (1932)
Salome (1952)
The Silver Chalice (1954)
Land of the Pharaohs (1955)
The prodigal (1955)
The story of Ruth (1960)
Esther and the King (1960)
Barabbas (1961)
Sodoma and gomorra (1962)
