I read slashdot every day and got quite a kick out of this. I was suprised at how much press this got, although it's such an "internet age" thing to do so I guess it's not that suprising. You'd really need a true geek girlfriend to pull off a proposal that isn't even face to face! She seemed to really like it though.

Yeah I saw that too. Being a geek myslef I read /. everyday. The comments were quite funny, people were impressed that Taco actually spell checked his post this time!
