My Westinghouse is flipping out and I don't know what's wrong. As of this morning, I have to run an HDMI to DVI conversion cable from my DVD player to the T.V.- I get a picture and sound with seperate audio cables.

However, when I run the cable from the HDMI output on the satellite receiver to the DVI2 input on the T.V.- two things happen. One, I get a message informing that the DVI2 signal is not detected and then the power on the T.V. goes off, on it's own. l. Is the T.V. sick and in need of repair? I've only had it since March. Need assistance, please.

Thank you.

Sounds like an HDMI handshake issue. No real fix unless you can get an update from the sat receiver mfg. Conversion cables can only complicate the problem sometimes.
