If you want to get into jazz: Miles Davis has a song called "Miles", one called "Milestones" and one called "Miles Ahead". He also has one called "Sivad" (Davis spelled backward.

Of course, Jeff Beck had "Jeff's Boogie"

Ok, in the stuff that I'm into:

Cleopatra - Cleopatra's Theme (From their 1998 debut album Comin' Atcha) The song is cheesy, but cool none the less...

Alisha's Attic - Alisha's Attic (From their upcomming unreleased songs compilation The Attic Vaults Part 2) the title is intriging... Considering where the name of the band comes from, that song should be interesting...

Melanie Doane - The Melanie Doane Song (From her 2001 live album Melvin Live) Now this one is cool, as that song is actually a cover of Beethoven's 5th symphony! Complete with explanation of why she refers to it as The Melanie Doane song. Very good modern rendition of that classic.

Although not a band, Joe Satriani had a song called "Satch Boogie". Of course, Satch is his nickname.

Don't forget:

Stars on 45
by Stars on 45

Kool And The Gang
by Kool and The Gang

Do The Freddie
by Freddie and the Dreamers

Another question along these lines:

Is there a group out there that had an album and song that was also the name of the group and what was the highest charting name of that combination?

Jerry Lee Lewis probably sets the record for using his name in songs.
Actual titles include:
Lewis Boogie from the Summer of '57
The Return Of Jerry Lee a novelty from '58
Lewis Workout recorded in '60

This is a bit of a cheat, but Theory of a Dead Man's song The Last Song was titled Theory of a Dead Man until they decided to name the band after the title.

I'm still confused by the original posting. The Big Country song title is actually "In a Big Country", and I'm not aware of a song entitled "Wang Chung" (I assume you're referring to "Everybody Have Fun Tonight", or is there another?)

So both of these fall into the category of songs in which the name of the artist is mentioned, which was interesting until rap artists started to do it in every song.

This is in the sort of list

Eric B and Rakim - Eric B is president (album Paid in Full)

but how many hip-hop acts don't say their names in the song?
