Does anyone have any info on the 8200 or 9200 Marantz models? I am really impressed with the 7200 and definitely am considering buying it, but it's a case of not wanting to say "what if". If the 8200 and 9200 are going to be considerably better then I will wait, but if they are going to be compareable then I would like to make the purchase. I really like the quality of sound for music that Marantz offers. What is the best price people have seen on the 7200 model?

Juan, I have seen it for $629.00 at sounddistibutors.com
I am thinking about geting it too. I have the SR7000 now and I love it. I am interested in the 6.1 and Dolby prologic II that the sr7200 offers. If you go to Yahoo shopping you can get some price comparisons there also.

I haven't seen any info for the 8200, but I have the 6200 and I am very happy with it. I didn't feel the need for 192Khz PCM or dual room capability.
$629 would be the best I've heard of for the 7200.

The American Marantz catalog lists the following models:
SR 4120
SR 4200
SR 5200
SR 6200
SR 7200
SR 8000
AV-9000 pre/pro
SR-14,18 and 19
Only the SR x200's have DPL II. SR 8000 is 5.1 and not 6.1 like the SR x200's.
I am not aware of any plans for other models. Perhaps next year they may do something, but the current lineup has no SR 8200 or anything like that.

I've heard conflicting reports of an 8200. Cambridge has one listed in their mailer (but not on the website), and even has pricing, though they have not posted specs. Could be a typo, however.

The main reason I would go with the 7200 is the fact that it has HD Componet Video switching. I have a progressive scan dvd player and am getting an HD sat receiver for my HDTV, so the componet switching will come in handy. :)
