LVW 5005 LiteOn DVD recorder question (1 Viewer)

I just bought this DVD recorder for my sister. I'm very happy with the result when I trasfer my home video from a HI8 camcorder to the disc. The problem is it will not play on my Pioneer DVD player (This DVD will play any disc any brand of media, I tried them all) The manual book said if I used DVD+RW I don't have to finalize the disc other than that I have to finalize it. I used the DVD-RW and finalized the disc and it still won't play. When I put the disc in I will see the menu when I select the title to play the disc will go in stop mode. What am I doing wrong. (it will pay fine on the DVD recorder though.) Try to go online and download the firmware but the site keeps telling I typed in the wrong S/N for some reason it asks for the unit S/N before you can download. I looked at the back of my recorder it was built in October of 2004. I bought it from
newegg.com and they will not accept return it will only accept exchange for the same item only.
Any help to solve this problem would be greatly appreciated.

You might check and see if it has the newest firmware. Go to http://www.dvdrhelp.com/ Good links there for help regarding these players.
