Is this possible? (sub XO question) (1 Viewer)

My receivers XO setting is set to high for my liking. So I was going to try something but before I do it I thought I would save myself the time by seeing if it will first work or if it is a bad idea to begin with. If I Set my main speakers to large and the center and surrounds to small their bass should be rerouted to the mains, no? So then I could route my fronts through the subs XO to lower the XO setting? Am I making sense? Is this possible? Should I just give it up? If not, any other suggestion, I cant afford to upgrade anything else(like my receiver) right now!

Yes, it will work. Whether or not it sounds any better you will have to decide.
