Is putting a sub there a good idea? (1 Viewer)

I'm experimenting on where to put my sub. I want to feel the rumble so i'm thinking of putting it behind my couch. I also heard that facing it towards a wall might make it sound louder, is this true?

To feel it, the closer the better, and right behind you firing into the couch is worth a shot. Mine's standing in the corner, 10 feet away and I can feel it when I demo for friends. Try as many different locations as you can and have fun.
