VERY good news indeed. Hopefully Whedon and the cast will be down for it.

Hopefully it escapes the rumor stage soon, if possible a mini-series like Farscape would be even better if it's moving back to the small screen.

I suppose the Serenity set from the first movie is still available (or able to be reassembled?)

There is a question of what rights that Universal holds as opposed to Fox.

Here's hoping that even if it just rumor that it sparks enough interest to make it come true.

It would be nice if this happens. The disappointing box office for Serenity had me thinking that was the last time we would see anything in the Firefly universe, but a series of lower-budget TV movies with DVD release should make budgetary sense in the way a theatrical movie wouldn't.

Stil, the last line in the article worries me. The flat-out denial by Whedon's camp makes me suspect it's not true. If they had said "No comment", maybe that would still keep hopes up that they were staying silent about it until it is confirmed, but with a blanket demial, I'm not hopeful.
