Hello. I purchased a HK 225 from Sound City and just got it today. I hooked everything up and set up the inputs, levels, etc... However, when I was testing the actual programming, I tried to watch a program on my satellite receiver. I have the Philips directv/tivo receiver. I have it connected to the 225 by an optical cable. My problem is this: When I start with a regular non-Dolby Digital broadcast, the DPLII kicks in and everything is fine. When I switch to a DD broadcast, everything is still fine. However, when I switch back to a non-DD broadcast (from a DD broadcast), the receiver defaults to Surround Off mode. Am I missing something? I set the surround mode in the OSD to DPLII movie. Is this a defective unit or am I not setting it up correctly. Thank you in advance.

Hello again. I found the answer in an older post. It looks as though it is just one of the quirks of this receiver. To anyone who was looking for the answer, thank you for your time.
