hdmi control with Harmony Remote (1 Viewer)

Just a twist on the hdmi control questions out there.

Do I need hdmi control activated if I'm using a universal remote such as the harmony models? This is premised on my limited understanding that hdmi cec fundamentally gives us control over different components of the system which is what I have with my harmony remote. Thanks

No. In fact, one fundamental purpose of a universal remote is to eliminate need for anything like CEC, as well as its glitchy reliability.

The fact is, if you have a Harmony remote, you absolutely should turn CEC and any kind of hdmi control OFF.
