All 8 Harry Potter films will be in IMAX for a week starting Thursday October 13. Package deals will be available.

At my IMAX tickets are $6 for one movie, $20 for all movies playing for that day only, or $30 for the entire week.

It's a shame that they appear to be showing these in 2D only. Harry Potter 5 and 6 both had IMAX-exclusive 3D segments that haven't been seen in that format since they left theaters. I'd love to see those segments in 3D again!

It would have been nice to see DH part 1 in 3D as well, it has only ever been shown that way on Blu-Ray.

At least the prices are right.

I attended Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, Chamber of Secrets, Prisoner of Azkaban, and Goblet of Fire on Thursday.

Before each movie they showed a Fantastic Beasts featurette and a short clip of the cast of Fantastic Beasts introducing the Harry Potter movie that was about to be shown.

How were the presentations?

Presentation quality was slightly better than the blu-ray for each title.

That sounds terrible. An IMAX film that's slighter better than a 1080p blu?

Glad I skipped them then.

Well the IMAX only has 2K projectors. Add the DCI P3 color space and you get a picture that's a little better than the blu-ray.

These films were only completed in 2K in the first place, so there's not that much more there there to be gotten.

We'll I would think bring remastered for IMAX would have yielded better results than "slightly better than the Blu Ray".
