I'm running my Radeon 7500 direct to a Sanyo XP21N projector with VGA cable. I have the PC set to 1020x768 resolution @60hz and want to get the best video for my DVDs and other PC apps. Everyone told me to get Powerstrip so I did. Now what do I do with it? I have to admit that it's pretty intimidating with all the things I could change ("mess up") with it. Are there any general guidelines for setting it up and what will it get me?

Is that a fixed pixel display projector (eg LCD, DLP...)

You'll want to set the resolution (via powerstrip) to the exact resolution that your projectors display. If that projector can take a 72hz scan rate, set it to that too.

It's an LCD projector with a native 1024x768 panel. It autodetects output up to 1280x1024 but scales it back to 1024x768. One of the lines in the spec sheet shows 1024x768 @ 72Vhz/58.03Hkhz. So if I'm running my PC with a 1024x768 display size, why do I need Powerstrip to change anything?
