Beauty and the Beast is one of the all time favorites for many of us and we would LOVE to have it on DVD. Would be a great Christmas gift for families too!

It's part of Disney's Platinum collection, theatrical re-release (restored footage, IMAX) coming early next year, Platinum Collection DVD for Xmas

Looking into my crystal ball I see the Platinum Collection special edition DVD release on October 8, 2002.
