Just built our Denon 2020 webpage with all of the .pdfs. I'm a big Denon fan as they design and build the best price/performance receivers. Great audio fidelity, top features, excellent build quality and very reasonably priced in every category. The new flagship model, AVR-X6700H is built in Denon's flagship factory in Japan.

These new receivers are packed with HDMI 2.1 features, eARC, 4K/120Hz pass-through, Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) and Quick Frame Transport (QFT)The HDMI bandwidth is 40Gbps.

All of the 2020 receivers support Dolby Atmos, Dolby Atmos Height Virtualization, DTS:X, DTS Virtual:X and Auro-3D.

If I have an external Emotiva amp the lowest model I could get to use this would be the 3700? The 2700 cant be used with an external amp?

According to the spec sheets, that’s correct.

I'm looking to the Denon 960 and the 2020 Marantz Pre-Pro releases (this Fall?) for possible 2020 4k upgrades.

I might be in for a 2700 to replace my 2200 for desktop PC use. We will see,

I am fearing having to upgrade the basement receiver tho. Even with the awesome price I got from @Robert_Zohn at Value it was by far the most expensive receiver I've ever bought and probably cost as much as the 3 previous generations combined. It was worth it to get full 7.1.4 in one box tho. And it works perfectly, the only reason I would have to replace it would be to get HDMI 2.1 / VRR compatibility for the display. Gonna need to get another 2 years out of this PJ I guess.

You’re using a preamp now? Non-4K I guess.
My living room is a ten year old Onkyo. It needs upgrading when I get a 4K TV.

The projector room is a 7702mkII; all HD sources and display. I think it will do 4K passthrough. But when I get around to going to 4K, there's some "quality of life" improvements to newer models so I'm planning to upgrade to a presumed 7706.

And, first-world problems, but the pandemic has borked my 4K upgrade plans. Not sure I'll do it in 2020 as hoped, or push to 2021.

It's a reference to LG and other companies who announce new product launch dates and miss them frequently.

Now back to your regularly scheduled program. Denon AVR-X4700H and AVR-X6700H are shipping today!
