I felt the same way. I could feel the moments where I was supposed to laugh, but I didn't laugh once. Less funny, but far more self-satisfied. Not a great trend.I'm not really feeling that trailer personally.
This doesn't look anywhere near as fresh as the first one did and just seems like they're doing more of the same because they think that's what they should do.
I'd love to be wrong and to have this be a great, unmissable movie. But I'm just not getting that sense from it yet.
I don't usually get that sense until I've seen it!
I was just trying to make the point that I often find myself misled by trailers as to whether a film is going to be one that I REALLY like.
I dislike seeing a movie the first weekend of release. While a movie's trailers may whet or dull my interest in a movie, waiting to see the movie gives me a chance to better gauge whether I want to see the movie. So I don't have to judge the movie only by it's trailer.but we have to judge the movie by the trailers,

I don't get that about any film. I couldn't tell you the last film I saw on opening day, or even opening weekend for that matter. I have no FOMO when it comes to movies. They'll always be available on streaming or home video if I miss it in the theater.Fair enough. I should rephrase: I'm not getting the sense that I can't afford to miss it.
