It's funny to me that they are renaming what is essentially a censored version of Deadpool 2 with a handful of new scenes in it. Why not just call it what it is?

I didn't like Deadpool 2 the first time around, so I will likely take a pass on this, However, I gotta admit that teaser does have some amusing jokes in it.

Ryan Reynolds apparently didn't want a censored Deadpool 2 but decided it wasn't worth it because Fox would end up doing it irregardless. I guess this version is a compromise. I wonder if it's substantially different enough to warrant its own IMDb page as a derivative work instead of being listed as an "alternate version."

People can sometimes come up with the same creative idea independently, given the right mix of raw materials and sensibilities. But this is quite the coincidence.

Anyone know how different it is going to be? I have seen it originally in the theatre and multiple times on disc. I am not interested in this new version unless there are a lot of changes.

As long as its the filmmakers doing this with alternate takes, new scenes and jokes, and fluid editing as opposed to a hacked choppy censored TV cut im cool. I can now take my 14 yo son to see juggernaut on the big screen.

I saw "Once Upon a Deadpool" yesterday, and enjoyed it very much. Then again, I enjoyed Deadpool 2 very much.

I would say if you liked DP2, definitely go see it. The revision to PG-13 is done with clever aplomb. And there is an extra end credits scene that is not to be missed.

Perhaps they can shamelessly and endlessly remix this movie every Christmas. Cheaper than a reboot! And yet still interesting!

I still think this is a bit of an odd duck for Fox to be putting out right now in a very crowded marketplace.

Comic boo superhero fans can choose from Into the Spider-Verse and (soon) Aquaman, or a different cut of a movie that came out in May that amounts to reheated leftovers. Not to mention Bumblebee, which is definitely going to overlap with some of the potential audience, even if it's based on a toy line first and not a comic book.

I'm not knocking the film, which I haven't seen in its new format, but I can't see too many people choosing it over one of the other new options for the same demographic which is actually totally new.

How different is the new version? Obviously it leaves out a lot of profanity/violence but I'm curious to know how much of the rest is different.

Is it just a sanitized version with the Savage stuff added?

Anything it takes in is basically gravy at this point for Fox. It's already made $1.3 million Wed/Thu.
