My position is if no original sound elements are replaced then there is no problem.

The above problem involved no replacement of the origional elements, just the addition of new and innappropriate ones. It is unfortunate that the people who made this mix got a bit too creative. It is still my position that the vast improvements to the sountrack greatly outweigh the drawbacks of the innappropriate additions. I think a better 5.1 mix is likely to happen someday, but for now, this one beats mono.
