i have a set of boston acoustic A120 floorstanding speakers, i dont have much info on them except they have a 10" passive radiator, 6-1/2" mid, 1" tweeter...wondering if any one has any opinions on using the drivers to build a pair of bookshelf speakers, the reason i want to do this is cuz the passive radiators on both are torn, and rather than replace or fix them i thought id try a new project

My quick thoughts:

* it would probably be easier and cheaper to fix the passive radiators than build entirely new cabinets.
* you'd need to build a new crossover with a new design...
* can you get the Thiele-Small parameters for the drivers? Without those numbers, you are shooting in the dark as far a designing the new cabinets

But, if you really want to, why not? Jsut get the TS parameters, build boxes, get or build a new crossover, and have fun!
