Normally every question Ive ever had to ask, somebody has asked and there is an answer; not this time.
my AVR delays about a second when audio begins. it isn't out of sync it's just about a second late so i miss the first second of playback when any audio starts from a period of silence. it's not much but sure is annoying when i begin playback. i could step down to 2.1 analog speakers, but prefer to use the expensive AVR I payed for.
i know it's the AVR's fault because the tv and htpc are new to the setup and it persists over time.
i am wondering if there is a way to keep my avr from going into a silent mode so that when any audio plays from the test noise on my PC or a YouTube video plays i get 100% of the audio and not silence for the first second while my avr wakes up to play music.
htpc > Lenovo h-50-55 amd a8-7600
hdmi 1.4
TV> Vizio P602ui-b3
optical
AVR > RCA RT2781H
That is my setup.
