I see a lot of crt's now come with an auto convergence feature. Does anyone know how this stacks up to a professional ISF?

The auto convergence feature really only addresses, well, convergence, which is the alignment of the red, green and blue guns. That still leaves focus, geometry, SVM, color, tint, brightness, contrast and grey scale adjustments uncalibrated. An ISF set up will fine tune the convergence and address all the other settings that contribute to getting your TV to perform at its best.
