Are DirecTV/Tivo units available? (1 Viewer)

Around nine months ago I purchased a Philips DSR6000 DirecTivo combo unit for $129 from Americansatellite.com and it has been one of the best purchases I ever made. Now I am trying to buy another one for myself and one for a friend who has DirecTV, but no one seems to sell these anymore. Even eBay is barren.

I had heard a rumor that no one is currently manufacturing the "old" DirecTivo units but that Generation 2 is coming in the fall. I called Americansatellite.com and they were only willing to sell me a refurbished DSR6000 for $249, and they had no info on any new models.

What gives?
