I just took a drive to Helena to get "The Burbs" with the money I've saved by not smoking!

Still smoking here, but considerably less.
I suppose it's a step in the right direction.
Man, I'm so pathetic.

Nice work!
Rain, try again to do it cold turkey. Think of something in your life that is most important to you, and then know that quitting smoking will more than likely allow you to live longer, therefore enjoying that very thing that makes you happy or is most important to you.
I, for one, want to be reading your posts in 50 years about how the films of 2050 don't hold a candle to the films of the 1950's. :)

Every time I read stuff like this, I feel at home here. You guys really got me pegged.

Not to worry, I'll try again.
As for reading my posts in 50 years...well, I plan to live forever, or die trying.

Kendall, what is dipping?
I am also 23.
I am a heavy drinker.
I think my worst time was around 2 months ago, when I was drinking 5-6 cans of Heineken every evening. I decided to travel to brake the routine and while I kept drinking while I was away, it is greatly reduced since I came back.
Now its more like a couple of cans once or twice a week.
I think I can live with that...

Brad, I'm willing to give it another go if you are.
Let's stop before the emphysema kicks in, huh? :)

Holadem,
Dipping is using smokeless tobacco. Put a pinch between your cheek and gum . . . I have been told that this is like mainlining nicotine, and more difficult to break.
I have not had a dip today, but boy, I feel like throwing one in right now.
BTW, I am not 23, that is how many years I have been dipping. I started when I was 14, so you can do the math.
I am glad to see that even if we slip, we don't run and hide. Keep coming back, it works if you work it(has anyone heard this used before!?!?!?!?)
Rain, it looks like you always keep your head up, or are you just looking down on us?
Later . . .

When I was a kid, around 14 years old, I used to dip Red Man chewing tobacco. My friends all liked Copenhagen, so I tried it out, vomited, and never dipped or anything of the sort until I was about 16. I discovered that I enjoyed smoking Marlboro Lights. My friends smoked Marlboro, so I smoked a bunch one night, it made me reall sick, so I never smoked them again.
The moral of this story is have friends...no wait that's not it. Actually, I just wanted to share my experiences with tobacco so you could ridicule me.
