I accidently came across this.
Seventh Veil
I can't imagine trying this with a circular saw and a router. I've never heard of these guys before but obviously they've been doing this for a while.

layered enclosures are the best way I can think of to do
complex inner and outer curves. There is a huge discussion
about this building method over at www.diyaudio.com and
yes 7V (His user name) got "skillz" :)

Whoa! Just joking around. :b Actually, I think it's very creative. That's what I need, a really good original idea. Wait, did you say gorgeous? I mean, they look nice and all but....

I'm going to be trying this method on a pair of North Creek Rhythms if I can manage to sell my current speakers. I'm going for a sonus faber type of look with the curved cabinets. I'm thinking it'll take about 55 layers per side but I'm hoping I can get access to my schools cnc router...we'll see. Should be a lot of fun either way ;).

Hey guys

Thanks for the nice comments on the speakers.

As this is the Home-Theater-Forum I thought I'd come on to mention that there is a Nonsuch 2 designed and ready for production and a screened front center speaker.

Potential Home Theatre systems could then be Nonsuch 4 or Nonsuch 2 as front speakers, with Nonsuch 2 as rear speakers.

If anyone is interested in auditioning the system, I will do my best to make it possible. Just click Seventh Veil Loudspeakers and get in contact (my details are on the "Contact" page).

Thanks
Steve
