Like JerryE, I have a 40/CC/20/PW2200 setup. I auditioned M&K, B&W, Klipsch, Definitive, and several others that I don't recall offhand.
I chose the Paradigms because I liked the sound, I like the appearance, and I liked the price. I'm still happy with them, but I do understand the criticism regarding the metal tweeter, and I have experienced fatigue on at least one occasion. This may be mitigated by getting rid of my Yamaha receiver sometime in the near future.
They're not the best speakers I've ever heard, but for the money they suit me just fine and I'm very happy with the purchase two years after making it.
