A new petition! Yay! Starman SE in Region1 (1 Viewer)

Columbia Tristar did a really good special edition of STARMAN, with commentary by John Carpenter and Jeff Bridges. But they're only releasing it in Region 2!!! They said that the sales in Region 1 weren't good enough to release it here, so we're stuck with the bare-bones edition.

Kind of makes you wonder how they think of these things:
"Hmm, that lackluster, bare bones edition didn't sell to well, so I guess a good version isn't worth doing."

I think so too. I imagine a lot of people didn't buy it because they figured there would be a special edition release soon. After all, John Carpenter and Jeff Bridges have done many audio commentaries and really embraced the DVD format. We all knew it would just be a matter of time before the two got together to record a new commentary.
Alas, not Columbia Tristar.
