Didn't even realize Toshiba's still making TVs, LOL.

Well, that makes sense... as that kinda rebranding/rebadging has long been common in this industry w/ only a very few manufacturers actually making at least the core part(s) of each TV model for just about every brand...

as much as i knew...
HiSense held 2 branding rights from 2 mainstream Japanese Marques. 1 was SHARP, another is TOSHIBA which still going on.
SHARP seems to be independent now in American continent/market.
TOSHIBA American continent market products may bear some similarity in specs when compared to HiSense International products. while i can't confirm if Toshiba developed image engine processor is present in other region products, the Toshiba Regza image engine processor is certainly built into the sets sold in Japan domestic market.
