Have you looked at a regular cable broadcast
Dr. Grall answered that, and let me tell you, that when I watched the first 40 minutes of Men In Black: Collector's Series (1997) Special Edition Widescreen 1.85:1 (Anamorphic), I noticed more subtle shades of color and detail that I didn't notice with my Toshiba 35" Direct View Tube.Don't have cable, etc., just an outdoor TV antenna.
quote: No bars on 1.85:1 movies...
Will Smith wears a red nylon jacket when he takes the MiB test, and the 50H81 reveals all the sheen and shades that the nylon jacket has - it looked 3D, you could tell the jacket material was nylon easliy!!
So far, the Toshiba display has jaw-dropping color and clarity, . . . more Impresseive than I imagined!!
Let's see, after dinner tonight, I think I'll check out Charlie's Angels; then ID4; U-571; . . .
Enjoying my 50H81,
Phil
