Looking for opinions on what to do for a new speaker set up. I am looking for a 5.1 setup. I am thinking SVS PB12-Plus/2 for the sub. That leaves roughly 2200 for the speakers. I want floorstanding for the fronts and bookshelf for the rears. My current room is about 10 x 13. I don't currently have room for 7.1. I may be upgrading my receiver also - current is HK 325.

That's a lot of sub for a room that size, IMO, but you definitely won't have a lack of bass :D. You really don't need too much in the way of speakers for a room that size too, maybe an Ascend 170 all around or 340/170 setup? Even with 340s with pedestals all the way around, you'd still be well under.

You might check into the offerings for floorstanders at www.av123.com too.

There's always Paradigm too.

Check out Axiom, for that amount you can get their best floor standers, center and surrounds.
