I've had the HD streaming version for a while and think it looks just fine. It isn't pristine, but it looks substantially better than the DVD.

If you are referring to 20,000 Leagues I have to disagree. The streaming version most certainly IS pristine, in my opinion. The Blu-ray should be identical but with less compression.

I really loved that Laserdisc and miss the deluxe treatment movies got on Laserdisc just the gatefold artwork and notes alone.

I don't miss laserdisc prices, though. I paid around $75 for a movie-only disc of The Empire Strikes Back in 1992.
