I second the Ascend/hsu setup! I wouldnt worry about anything being to bright considering your forum name is Klipsch. IMO Klipsch are the brightest speakers i have auditioned. I am a very proud owner of Ascends and I have auditioned many speakers in your price range.

thanks for the feedback. has anyone used the PSB image sorrounds? I see that most of the places I've seen the two speakers the Cmbridge soundworks speakers are quite a bit less than the PSB speakers. Has anyone auditioned or owned the PSB's?
