The plans call for a "full length 12" center tube". What does this mean? Is it the length of the port from end to end or just the tube between the two flared ends. I am using the 4" flared port from Parts Express. Thanks!
I was wondering how to make a lfe cable for my sub. Would it be okay to use RG6 cable? What type connector would I use? Thanks for any help that you can offer.
I've heard that there is link for a 5% discount towards purchases at Adire. I have searched around and have been unable to find it. Can anybody point me toward the discount or was it only offered for a limited time?
I've been playing around with lspcad and I am having a problem with what the line should look like. I am trying to design a vented sub. Here are two questions/problems I'm having
I have been able to make the line completely flat, but it always drops off before it gets to the tuning freq. of...
I was just reading about IB's and I was wondering if having the sub in the attic would cause a problem with sound transmision to the outside world or through the rest of the house.
After much searching I have come to the conclusion that there aren't premade plans to build the sub I want. I guess that means I am going to have to design it myself. I am hoping to use the sub in my HT and I want it to fill up the space under the screen (in between two columns). I am hoping...
I was wondering if it is possible to have the Audax HT system run on the Outlaw 1050. I am thinking on running the left/center/right from the kit, but move the two monopole surround to the rear (wiring them together and setting the receiver to 4ohms) and making two of Vance Dickenson's dipole...
I am creating a 7:1 speaker setup for my HT. I am interested in building the AV-1 speakers for the front and center speakers and the AV for the 2 rears. I would like to make several dipole speakers for the sides. Does anybody have any suggestions on how to accomplish this. Thanks.
I am planning on making the 142.5 liter Shiva sub from the Adire website. Is it possible to place the sub so that it is sandwiched between the side wall, front wall, and a wall unit. This would only leave the front of the unit fully opened. I am very limited on placement options so I am hoping...
I know it sounds like some stupid joke, but I was wondering if it was possible to create a good sub using the sonotube that lays on it side? I would fit a lot better into my HT. If it is possible would I construct it the same way as a traditional sonotube?
Has anybody built a sub similar to the Rump Thumper III at Speakerbuilder.net? This sub would work perfectly for my situation. This sub is aprox. 1' high 1' wide and 4' long an is good to below 20 hz. I'm looking to get a little more detailed plans than are available at that site. Any help...
