In Market to buy a entry level Amp. Only affordable one i could find is the RVX440. Any comments suggestions or recommendations. Your assistance much appreciated Thanks in advance

The RX-V440 is a good starter amp. Only reason you might want to go up one to the RX-V540 would be for S-Video input/outputs.

go for the HTR-5760 or HTR-5790 if you have access to them. Newer and better than the older RX-V440
