Yamaha HTR 2071 Optical-in Port (1 Viewer)

Hi All,

I have a Yamaha HTR-2071 5.1 channel home theatre. It has an optical-in port which I have connected to the TV.

Question) Is this Optical-in port of Yamaha HT 2071 model capable of receiving 5.1 channel input?

Absolutely it is. The TV might not be sending 5.1 though, depending on several factors.

If your tv has an ARC out you shouldn't need to use optical.
