I've noticed that the last few xbox games I've purchased include a 2 month free trial membership, which is what I'm currently on, then I'll extend it with my 3 month card. My question is, if you had, say, 3 of these 2mo offers, could you just sign up for one, cancel it before it expires, then sign up again with another free offer using a different gamertag? Or will it require a different credit card as well? Will they allow you to do it at all?

YOu can do it. But like you said you will have a different tag each time.

You will be able to re-sign up using those 2 month free cards. But remember, they have an expiration date, listed somewhere on the card in small print. Like you said, you cannot use the free cards to extend a membership, only to start a new one.
