Just for fun and to make all of us in the bay area feel better, who has the worst commute to/from work?

My commute is 30 miles (one way) at 45 - 90 minutes

Mine is 32-35 miles one way, 45 - 60 minutes most days, and 90 minutes on Friday afternoons.

57 miles one way, An hour flat in low traffic conditions, up to 100 minutes in bad traffic (Friday afternoons).

60 miles one way, 75-90 minutes depending on traffic. Although due to a merger my job is being eliminated so I will only be doing this commute for another 3 weeks.

OK, a bay area folk here:

My wife goes 70mi one way, from Vallejo to Mountain View, around 90min. She's done this for 2 years now.

My brother in law drives 3 hours. One way. ~70mph most of the way. I feel for him; personally, I don't see how he does it, let alone affords the gas.
Me, I drive 15 minutes. 20 during "rush hour".
A friend of mine works for Microsoft. He rides a motorized razor scooter a few blocks to work every day. Now THAT would be fun.

My drive is 30 minutes to and 45 from, depending on what time I leave. Its about 12-13 miles.

35 miles from my suburban home to my office downtown. Total travel time...32 minutes via commuter rail (the walk to or from the station adds 10 minutes.)

45 miles each way. An hour going in, hour and a quarter coming home. Worst part about my commute is that 4 miles and 20 minutes of my ride is spent just getting to the highway.

The down side, 53 miles one way with little to no traffic. On average, 1 hour flat. The up side, I drive a company Dodge Durango 4x, all expenses paid.

Sorry about this guys.
My commute is 3.5 - 4 minutes with light traffic and 4.5 - 5 minutes with heavy traffic.
It is roughly 2.5 kms (approx. 1.5 miles) through town.

I drive about 10-15 min but during "rush hour" it may take 20-25 minutes. For me, its city driving all the way so the distance isn't all that great.

2.5 mi exactly, ~5 min. In rush hour traffic though, it can take me more than 30 min to cover that same distance back home. I should walk.

About 30 min through San Jose only 10 miles. In 2000/2001 it took me 45 min.

My boss drives in from Tracy and it takes him over an hour and a half sometimes but traffic has been much better as of late in the area with all the layoffs, summer, etc.

I drive 40 miles to work. Takes me anywhere from 45 minutes to get to work on Friday morning to sometimes 1.5 hours to get home on Friday afternoon. I leave my house at 6:45 AM to beat some of the traffic.

I bought my car new in October of 2000, just turned 8500 miles.

When we bought our new house in a different city I was doing loops from home to work to new house.(To prewire the whole house for speakers, RCA's and security, among other things.) I put 50 000 km on it in one year. (Appprox 32000miles.)
I blew the 5 year warranty in less than 2.5 years of driving.
Now I have a sweet back road drive of 45 minutes, that I usually do on my motorcycle.

Currently I commute 27km in about 15 minutes usually done at about 130km/h the entire way. However in 3 weeks my commute will be about 175 km and in rush hour about 2-2.5h in lite traffic 1.5h

I drive 20 miles each way, usually takes 30 minutes each way. I leave home between 9:30 and 10:30, and leave work between 6:30 and 8. It works out pretty well. If I didn't do that I would take about 45 minutes each way... I couldn't stand to spend 1.5 hours a day just getting from one place to another... that's over 6% of my life sitting in my car! Even an hour is too much... I'd like it down around 15 minutes a day.
