I'm currently running Windows XP and have a Creative Audigy 2 Platinum soundcard connected to a Digitheatre DTS sound/speaker system using SPDIF. I'm unable to obtain DVD-Audio playback. I've tried it with Creative's Mediasource DVD-Audio player and also WinDVD 6.0 that includes DVD-Audio playback and get no sound.

I'd like to hear from anyone who is able to play DVD-Audio on their PC regarding what sound card, speaker system and what type of connection they're using.

You need to use the 5.1 analog outputs (front, rear, center/sub) on the Audigy to connect to the speakers for DVD-Audio playback. So far, only some consumer players with firewire or HDMI have been able to send a digital signal to receivers that support them.
