I saw 'Shogun Assassin' the other day and understand that it's really the first two 'Lone Wolf and Cub' films edited into one. This version was uncut but horribly dubbed. Importing is out of the question but I just don't get why these aren't here in the US yet.

AnimEigo is and busy restoring them. They are a small company and have to split their time between it and their anime titles.

Both titles are now available with incredible new transfers from the Animeigo web site http://www.animeigo.com.

Wait a minute- is Shogun Assassin available on DVD? Because I don't see it listed.

I've got those two dvds and the PQ is excellent. Some EE in a couple of scenes is bothersome, but overall very nice. The 3rd one should be out soon according to their web site.
