Pretty good Jay. thats how I did my stuff, one step at a time. What helps is my GlobalWin WB38 Heat sink with the Delta 7200rpm fan. that sucker can slice your finger tips off, and I mean that literally.
Its amazing what those Dremel tools can doo right ;).
I play long hours of Unreal Tournament and thats does a good workout on my CPU and Graphics cards, which is why i have 2 side fans. One pointing to CPU, and the other to my AGP slot.

i have an athlon tbird 1400. case gets searing hot (about 40 degrees) so cpu gets usually +10 degrees of that. so i'm usually at 50 degrees when surfin around the net. load is at 54.

i would consider a case mod to implement all those fans but my dragon orb 3 running at 7200rpm is noisy enough for me. if i had extra cash, i would invest in a water cooling system.

my system is pretty stable though.

Athlon tbird 1.4 cooled by Dragon Orb 3 @ 7200rpm

WinXP pro

512mb Crucial

GIgabyte 7DXR

Audigy Platinum

Pioneer dvd 106s

Plextor 8/4/32

Radeon 32mb DDR OEM

ATI Tv wonder PCI

Enermax 420watts

Yamaha YST-ms30 (incerdibly shrill!!)

* Went through FOUR defective promedia 4.1's, so my old yammies are here until i complete my home theater system.

Oh, hey Rubin, I presume that fan on the top of your case is blowing air out of the case, right?

I might have to go to Radio Shack and find those 80mm fans you talk about... I've seen some fans online for $1 but since I really don't need anything else, I'd get murdered in shipping charges...

jAY, YOUR correct, it blows air out. Hot air rises, so I assumed the hottest air is at the top part of the case, so I added that fan there.
Good luck in your muture mods. The hardest part is making the circle purfect :). Mine arent. they look like crap.

Yeah, I used the outside line of a roll of masking tape to mark it with a pencil. It's kind of sized for a 92mm but the fan itself is 80mm.. This makes it future proof although I don't think I'm going to bother making it larger anytime soon. Then I used the polisher/sander bit on the Dremel to get rid of everything up to the pencil markings. Way cool tool, it would make the plastic so hot it would become like goo so I'd remove it after a bit and cool it off and stuff. I made the hole with the cutter tool on the dremel but it was a very rough hole. I guess if you had a jigsaw, that would be better cause with the cutter, you have to turn the dremel tool sideways for it to work. And those circular cutter discs aren't really made for curve cuts. I wound up breaking two of the 5 that the Dremel tool came with.

Don't forget your eye wear!,
