THE ANDY GRIFFITH SHOW 16 EPISODES: 2 Double Sided DVDs (Brentwood Home Video) - To date, this set from 2002 is the only known DVD source of the complete, 25 and a half minute edit of "The Darlings Are Coming" episode, that includes The Dillards "Salty Dog Blues," along with the slightly more commonly included "Cindy" epilogue.

    CHEERS! :)

I received the second copy of Hot in Cleveland from Amazon and had the same problem. Poor packaging, box sliding all over and the last disc all scratched up. They gave me a credit for the disc but I still would have preferred picking up a physical copy from a local brick and mortar store and inspecting it on the spot. Also, the first damaged set I returned only received a credit of $10 and I was charged $31 including tax so I had to contact them yet again to try to get that straightened out. For a highly successful mail order business I'm amazed at the poor quality of shipping they provide. On a side note I recently had to repair a leaky tub/shower faucet and found the part on Amazon for about $32. I spent $8 more and purchased it the same day at my local Lowes.

Here's one from the Weird Department. Returning home from my daily rounds today I open my mailbox and I find a package sent to me from someone in Canada (No return address, just a stamp that says it was delivered from Regina, Saskatchewan). It's a Disk containing eight episodes from the animated series Shazam! (Yup, I know, it's a 'boot!) but I NEVER ordered it. Oh well, if you get something in the mail that you didn't order smile, YOU GET TO KEEP IT! :D Now if somebody will ship me copies of Green Acres, Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In, Perry Mason along with a slew of other sets anonomously I'll be one heck of a happy camper.:rolling-smiley: In the meantime this disk will keep the disks of the live-action version of Shazam! that I own company. :thumbs-up-smiley:

I don't remember how much I paid for the rerelease of that set, but it wasn't definitely $7.50. I'm not even sure if there was any difference in the earlier and later releases other than packaging and maybe extras. I don't think the restoration team did anything new with the episodes.

Anyway, I figured I'd take advantage of Deep Discount's code and make one more purchase. Finally picked up Mr. Deeds Goes To Town in its digibook packaging, but the TV show I picked up was today's release of Grantchester S3 on Blu.

Their shipping may not be Wal-Mart's free 2 day like I got with TJ Hooker, but the price was better. I love that everyone is trying to take Amazon down. It makes for more competitive pricing.

    The Magicians: Season Two (Blu-Ray)

One of those shows that seems to be made for Blu-Ray since there's a lot of naughty language that gets censored during the broadcast run but is showcased in its entirety on disc.

I never thought I'd be able to say this: Coronet Blue: The Complete Series.

I look forward to the day I can announce: Seasons 2, 3, and 4 of The Defenders.

In a postscript to my earlier post today I did a price check of Shazam! and its kindred series (That's Secrets of ISIS, Ark II, Space Academy, & Jason of Star Command for those of you in Rio Linda!) and found out the DVD Sets listed on my "Wish List" are CONSIDERABLY CHEAPER than all five of Filmation's "live action" DVD sets COMBINED! Now OOP, I'm glad I got all five of these sets when the gittin was good, because today the gittin's not-so-good!

While surfing the web I discovered the animated SHAZAM! was part of a Saturday Morning TV Show called Kids Super Power Hour. The other show that was a part of this series, Hero High (I have this one in my collection, either I snatched it up from someone's "bargain bin" or picked it up when looking for bargains on "The National Day of Insanity" (That's "Black Friday" for those of you in Rio Linda! - back in the days before corporate greed RUINED this fun day! :() does have a legit release and still is available for a decent price. If you don't have this show I'd snatch it up ASAP because it's now OOP, and I noticed most of the BCI/Filmation sets are nabbing EXTREME prices!

TJ Hooker is in. And there's one strange thing about it...

I assume Shout started putting these little hologram stickers on the bottom of the cases as an anti-bootleg device after their article a couple years back on how their sets were bootlegged all the time?

I'll most likely order this set just before I go on Vacation next month (My birthday is August 19) as a "Birthday Present from Me to Myself". :D If I have enough moola left over when I return I may get Perry Mason as well, then I'll fold like a book until Boxing Day (I'll "relieve" someone of a box set or two using the "Santa Cash" I'll get from relatives), then get Rowan & Martin's Laugh In on January 6.
