With my Matrox DVD player, I can sort of zoom in but not properly. It seems technically perfectly able to zoom the non-anamorphic DVD but its not possible to really view that way because of the window interface. Frustrating.

Is there a software DVD player which allows simple zooming of non-anamorphic DVD's to the full 16:9?

    thanx

Cool. Thanx folks. I have a Panny DVD player and iScan I use with my PJ but I've also got an HTPC. Of course, I just went ahead and watched The Invasion of the Body Snatchers using my regular setup and zoomed my PJ. The PJ zooms well and almost fills the screen but it drives me crazy because the zoomed picture keeps wandering around! I have to keep re-centering it manually. What a shame! Distracts me from the movie. Very good transfer for such an old movie.
